Thursday, March 19, 2015

It's long been a trend that's either loved or hated but 2015 is definitely the year when double denim is a style statement and not a fashion faux pas.
Combining jeans with denim shirts and jackets was recently seen on the New York and Paris Fashion Week runways with Tom Ford, Gucci and Louis Vuitton among designers championing the look.
A number of celebrities have also dared to wear double denim recently including pop princess Rihanna and Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon.

Meanwhile, popstar turned Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha, 36, looked casually chic when she attended Crufts last week in light blue jeans with a denim shirt.
By pairing your double denim with the same shades like Rihanna and Alesha, your outfit will look thought-out and colour co-ordinated.
But if you want to add some contrast, follow actress Emily Blunt's lead and wear denim jeans with a lighter shade of denim shirt or jacket. The Devil Wears Prada star wore a light blue sleeveless shirt with jeans when she touched down in L.A recently.
