It was only a few days ago, she was forced to miss her daughter’s first birthday due to complications from a recent operation.
But on Friday, Katie Piper was feeling back to her old self again as she attended the launch of the Ideal Home Show in London.
Stripping
down to a black leotard, the 31-year-old star happily paraded her toned
pins in all its glory as she presented UK's first diversity catwalk
show.

the event, stood tall in an envy-inducing pair of black strappy heels
while she complemented her pretty complexion with pink lipstick.
Prior to the

peep-toe heels.
She
was also accompanied by Ross Dawes, Ewan Rutherford, George Clarke,

Katie is challenging the conventional catwalk with the launch of 'Confidence - The Secret.'
Speaking
recently to MailOnline about the initiative, she said: 'I am working
with The Ideal Home Show as a fashion and beauty ambassador to launch a
bespoke show with alternative catwalk models chosen from my foundation,
the Katie Piper Foundation, and Models of Diversity. It's all incredibly
exciting.'
Explaining
the inspiration behind the show's name, Katie said: 'It's called
Confidence - The Secret because confidence is something you can use to
express yourself and convey yourself and it's something I've used
through several periods of my life.
'It's
not about trying to look and be perfect, it's about a positive mindset
and being the best version of yourself that you can possibly be.'
Meanwhile,
Katie was unable to take part in the celebrations for her little girl
Belle's first birthday on March 14 with her fiance Richard James Sutton -
due to some issues with her routine surgery two days earlier.
The
TV personality was the victim of a horrific acid attack arranged by her
then ex-boyfriend in 2008 and while she has since recovered and found
happiness, she often has to have operations on her throat as a result of
swallowing acid during the attack.
A
source close to the star told MailOnline that Katie has had over 60 of
these surgeries, explaining that fibrous thick scar tissue forms in her
oesophagus causing it to close and making swallowing difficult.
Katie was admitted to hospital last Thursday, two days before Belle's birthday, to have some of the scar tissue stretched open.
The
insider added: 'However, there was a slight side effect to the
procedure causing the oesophagus to tear and causing air to leak into
her body which is obviously very dangerous. She’s stable now but sadly
had to miss her daughter’s first birthday!'
Katie
tweeted on Saturday: 'Thanks for all the birthday tweets for Belle!
Unfortunately
Recovery: While Katie has up to 60 of
these operations, she has recovered from the most recent complications
and is in stable condition
Despite the disappointment at missing out on Belle's celebrations, Katie is stable and will no doubt enjoy a belated party.
It's been a whirlwind year for Katie after she got engaged and became a first-time mother within the past 12 months.
And while Katie insists a man can't bring you happiness, Katie has credited her 'wonderful' fiancé for enhancing her life.
'I
always say that love is not a necessity,' she recently told MailOnline,
'It's a luxury and you have to be happy in yourself first. It is lovely
to think I'm OK and have something else affirm that.
'Richard
has a big laugh which comes from the belly which is so contagious. He's
even more positive than I am and he's really good with our daughter.'
Katie said
they plan to marry later in the year after Richard proposed in December,
although she admitted she still hasn't chosen the venue or picked the
dress.
'I
thought it was going to be a small affair,' she giggled. 'But then you
talk to your parents and then the politics get involved and you realise
you have to invite Aunty Maureen and so on.
'So
the small thing is not really working out. My fiancé is happy either
way, I think he would just be happy to get an invite and turn up.'
Piper
appeared to snap back into shape straight after the birth, but she
insisted that wasn't quite the case and she weighed a stone more after
the birth.
She
told MailOnline: 'I found it really hard to snap back into shape. I get
up at 5am to train before work, but I struggled to lose that extra
layer.
'I
went crazy and ate loads during the pregnancy, which I really regret
now. I'm still not what I was before. I have just over half a stone to
lose. I'll have a few good days and then I'll slip up.'
'I
had pressure to get back into shape as I had a new work wardrobe to get
into - but there were days when I had to tie a hair band around my
jeans button when they wouldn't do
